Isometric means "of equal length". A contraction is isometric if the length of the muscle does not change.
Isometric exercises also known as stabilization training are muscle / strength training without moving the joints. Unlike conventional training methods, the muscles are (statically) tensed without the moving joints.
Not every dog likes to be touched.
Therefore it is important to build up the exercises / introduction.
I will show and guide you how to do the preliminary exercises with your dog.
After that, the isometric exercises can be implemented.
Who benefits from isometric exercises?
-> Seniors with muscle weakness
-> Dogs with neurological diseases
-> As stability training for all degenerative joint diseases
-> For overweighted dogs (supports weight loss)
-> Sport- / hunting dogs, with more strain on their joints
-> After injuries / operations / plaster casts
It is advisable to get a "ok" from the vet before starting the training.
Then you know for sure that the exercises will be useful for your dog!
